| 释义 | 代理銀行 A bank which receives a letter of credit from the issuing bank. The correspondent bank is generally requested to perform some service in accordance with the letter of credit which are primarily to advise the credit to the seller or beneficiary of the credit and to pay or to accept drafts or to purchase or negotiate in accordance with the provisions of the credit. The issuing bank and the correspondent bank are in a principle-agent relationship unless agreed otherwise. Also known as the ‘remitting bank’ or ‘confirming bank’. See also Bank; Confirming bank; Letter of credit; Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits 1993. 從發狀銀行收到信用狀的銀行。一般信用狀會要求代理銀行按該信用狀履行某些服務，基本服務包括向賣家或信用狀受益人就該貸項提出意見、支付或接受銀票、按照該貸項的條文進行購買或商議。除非另有協議，否則發狀銀行及代理銀行屬主事人與代理人的關係。另稱「託收銀行」或「保兌銀行」。另見 Bank; Confirming bank; Letter of credit; Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits 1993。 |
