单词 | Re-delivery of deed |
释义 | 重新交付契據 An acknowledgment by a grantor, in the presence of a deed, that the grantor intends to be bound by the deed, in circumstances where an original delivery was ineffective: Re Seymour; Fielding v Seymour [1913] 1 Ch 475. Where a person seals and delivers an instrument leaving some material part blank, the deed may nevertheless become operative if the blank is subsequently filled and the deed re-delivered by the party who originally purported to execute it: Powell v London and Provincial Bank [1893] 2 Ch 555. A letter is not usually sufficient to constitute re-delivery: Chan Pak Ho v Standard Chartered Ltd [1987] 3 HKC 241.
