| 释义 | 大律師任用同行為助手 The practice of a barrister (the ‘principal’) engaging another barrister (the ‘devil’) to do work in connection with briefs held by the principal. The work is usually confined to paper work and research on questions of law. It does not extend to appearance work. Such arrangement is permitted in Hong Kong subject to the requirements as laid out in the Barrister’s Code of Conduct r 81. The principal remains personally responsible for the work performed.
