| 释义 | 疾病／病症 1.An illness or sickness. The term is defined differently for different purposes in various statutes and may include any physical or mental ailment, disorder, defect or morbid condition, whether of sudden or gradual development and whether of genetic or other origin. 2. In animal, an infectious agent or pathological process that affects the animal’s state of health to the extent that meat from the animal is not wholesome for human or animal food; or could be transmitted to a person or another animal through contact with the diseased animal or its carcass, whether or not it affects the animal’s state of health. It also includes a chemical or antibiotic residue in excess of the prescribed concentration level. In relation to animal and birds in Hong Kong, disease includes cattle plague or rinderpest, septicaemia haemorrhagica, pleuro-pneumonia contagiosa of cattle, foot and mouth disease, sheep-pox, sheep scab, swine fever, anthrax, glanders (including farcy), parasitic mange, epizootic lymphangitis, ulcerative cellulitis, dourine, sarcoptic mange, influenza, ringworm, strangles, anaplasmosis, fowl cholera, fowl-pox, contagious bovine abortion, surra, red water (Texas fever), buffalo disease, tuberculosis, Newcastle disease of poultry and any other disease declared by the Director of Health and notified in the Gazette as included in the term disease: Public Health (Animals and Birds) Ordinance (Cap 139) s 2.
