| 释义 | 一般留置權 1. A lien giving rights to the lienee to retain the chattels in his custody as security until the obligations owed to him by the lienor are satisfied. General lien may be created by custom or by agreement. The law does not favour general lien and it must be strictly proven by the one who relies upon it. 2. In agency law, an agent’s lien extending to all claims against the principal arising out of the agency, either by express contract or by usage. In case of factor, bankers and stockbrokers general lien is presumed: Halsbury’s Laws of England (4th Ed), Vol 2, para 1848.
