释义	額外刑期 1. In criminal law in Hong Kong the part of sentence during which an offender may be released on parole and on good behaviour. The additional term is set in relation to a minimum term, so that the minimum term and the additional term comprise the total sentence. If the offender is not granted parole, the additional term is also served in custody. The additional term including the holidays the offender is entitled, must not exceed one third of the minimum term. Known in other jurisdictions as ‘parole period’. 2. In renewal of tenancies, the term of years immediately following the end of the existing term.
