The word ‘good’ is of very general and quite indefinite import: The Noordam (No 2) [1920] AC 904 (PC). Carriers - Under the Amended Hague Rule 1979 relating to sea carriage, ‘goods’ includes goods, wares, merchandise, and articles of every kind whatsoever except live animals and cargo which by the contract of carriage is stated as being carried on deck and is so carried: Carriage of Goods by Sea Ordinance (Cap 462) sch.
