释义 | 聯合國國際貿易法委員會 Abbr – UNCITRAL An organisation active in the pursuit of common laws and rules applicable to international trade transactions, particularly in relation to bills of lading, arbitration, the international sale of goods, and international payments. It is composed of state members representing different geographic regions, economies, and legal systems. It reports to the General Assembly and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. UNCITRAL is one of the most significant organisations working to harmonise or unify laws touching international trade. It was established by the General Assembly of the United Nations on 17 December 1966: UN GA Res 2205. Among the commission’s most significant works are the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules 1976, the United Nations Convention on the Carriage of Goods by Sea 1978, the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods 1989, and the Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration 1985.
