释义	逐字逐句的紀錄 In ordinary language, a record of a lecture, conversation, interview, proceedings or similar event, recorded in full and in the words used by the lecturer or speakers. If it is a verbatim record during court proceedings, it is called a ‘transcript’. If a verbatim record of the proceedings is prepared, any party may apply to have a copy of it, upon payment of the appropriate fees: for example Medical Practitioners (Registration And Disciplinary Procedure) (Cap 161E) s 22. In criminal law, a notebook entry containing an admission, which is not a verbatim record of interview, has breached the Secretary for Security’s Rules and Direction for the questioning of suspects and the taking of statements. Although the breaches may indicate impropriety and unfairness, but they do not as such render a confessional statement inadmissible: HKSAR v Yip Siu Tak (HCMA 364/2001, unreported).
