释义 | 假拍賣 An auction of goods in which the auctioneer uses certain inducements to encourage a purchaser to buy for an inflated price goods that are usually of low quality. Those inducements include making a reduction in price or partial repayment of the price to the highest bidder; restricting the right to bid to those who have bought or agreed to buy other goods; or offering or giving goods as gifts: Mock Auctions Ordinance (Cap 255) s 3(2). Conducting or promoting a mock auction is an offence in Hong Kong: s 3.
