释义	自願入院病人 A person who appears to require treatment in a mental hospital and is admitted by medical superintendent, where he (or in the case of a person under the age of 16 years, his parent or guardian) is desirous that he should receive such treatment; and completes an application in writing; and lodges the application with the medical superintendent: Mental Health Ordinance (Cap 136) s 30(1). A voluntary patient is entitled to leave the mental hospital after the expiration of seven days from his, or if he is under the age of 16 years, his parent or guardian, giving notice in writing or, in the discretion of the medical superintendent, verbal notice, to the medical superintendent of the intention of the voluntary patient to leave the mental hospital: s 30(2)(a).
