| 释义 | 須予以司法考慮的法例 Statutory law or instruments, including ordinances, regulations, and rules, which have been pleaded in a judicial proceeding and received authoritative exegesis in a recorded, usually reported, judgment. Judicial consideration is creative; it tests the constitutional validity of legislation, and ascertains its legal meaning, which may be inconsistent with the ordinary meaning of its plain words. Its scope is confined by legislative interpretation provisions, which define words and prescribe interpretations.
