| 释义 | 地段 From the practice of casting lots to obtain possession of a defined portion of land. A plot of land with a defined area, the definition made by description; by survey and recorded by metes and bounds description; or by reference to a plan of subdivision of land. In Hong Kong, land is divided into lots, which are identified by a lot number. Lots are further desingated as Inland Lots, Town Lots, Marine Lots and Rural Building Lots. In the New Territories each piece of land is identified further by reference to Demarcation or Survey District in which it is located: Sihombing & Wilkinson A Student’s Guide to Hong Kong Conveyancing (2nd Ed) Ch 2, p 45.
