释义 | 罰款 1. A kind of consideration for the lease in addition to rent and tenant’s covenants. If there is such an additional consideration, it is appropriate to state this in the lease of the premises: Halsbury’s Laws of Hong Kong, Vol 17, Landlord and Tenant [235.096]. 2. A prescribed sum of money payable to the governmental authority as punishment for a particular offence. Where a person is convicted of any offence, other than an offence for which the sentence is fixed by law, the court may impose a fine in lieu of or in addition to dealing with such person: Criminal Procedure Ordinance (Cap 221) s 113A; Magistrates Ordinance (Cap 227) s 97.
