单词 Maritime boundary
释义 海域劃界
Lines separating the maritime jurisdictions of neighbouring coastal states. Maritime boundaries may separate bodies of water such as internal waters, the territorial sea, the contiguous zone, the continental shelf, and the exclusive economic zone of a coastal state. Delimitation is necessary when the continental shelf or insular coasts of coastal states face, or are adjacent to, each other. International law emphasises equitable delimitation in the event of overlap: United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea 1982 art 83 para 1. Such an objective is to be achieved through the application of the equidistance principle: North Sea Continental Shelf Cases (Federal Republic of Germany v Denmark; Federal Republic of Germany v The Netherlands) 1969 ICJ 3. See also Contiguous zone; Continental shelf; Exclusive Economic Zone; Inland waters; Territorial sea.
此目標通過等距離規則的申請達到:North Sea Continental Shelf Cases (Federal Republic of Germany v Denmark; Federal Republic of Germany v The Netherlands) 1969 ICJ 3。另見 Contiguous zone; Continental shelf; Exclusive Economic Zone; Inland waters; Territorial sea。
