This includes: the producer of a sound recording; the producer and principal director of a film; the person making a broadcast; the person providing cable programme service; the publisher of the typographical arrangement of a published edition; and for computer-generated work, the person by whom the arrangements necessary for the creation of the work are undertaken: Copyright Ordinance (Cap 528) s 11. The author of a photograph is the photographer rather than the newspaper company that employs the photographer: Johan Hendrik Cornelis Kemp v Sing Pao Newspaper & Publications Ltd (DCA 18715/93, unreported).
