| 释义 | 重婚 Entering into a second marriage while lawfully married to another person. The second marriage is considered void: Matrimonial Causes Ordinance (Cap 179) s 20(1)(c). Bigamy is a criminal offence unless either the married person’s spouse has been continually absent for seven years and is not known to be living by any other person, or the married person has been divorced from the first marriage, or the first marriage has been declared void by the court: Offences against the Person Ordinance (Cap 212) s 45.
