释义	要約人 1. A person who makes a contractual offer, personally or by an agent, so as to become a party to the contract on acceptance. 2. In relation to the takeover of a company, the entity that is acquiring the shares and seeking to take over that company. More specifically, a person who sends or proposes to send a takeover offer, whether personally or through an agent or nominee, or makes or proposes to make offers to acquire shares in accordance with the Companies Ordinance (Cap 32) s 168, sch 9.
