| 释义 | 呼氣測醉器 A device used to conduct a breath test and which is capable of measuring the blood alcohol level of the subject by analysing a specimen of the subject’s breath. A device marked with ‘breathalyser’ and a serial number which had been approved under the terms of a proclamation: Rose v Livingstone [1982] 1 NSWLR 299. In order to introduce the results of a breathalyser test, it is necessary to prove that the instrument was producing accurate and reliable results; but proof of the contents of the chemical ampoules used therein or that they were standard was not necessary: R v Lynch (1959) 29 WWR 609.
