释义	優先股份 A sub-class of ordinary stock or ordinary shares which has some preference or priority over another sub-class of ordinary stock or shares: Re Powell-Cotton’s Resettlement; Henniker-Major v Powell-Cotton [1957] Ch 159. Shares which have generally superior rights to the ordinary shares are preference shares; while preferred stock is a stock whose rights differ only in one area: Sabine Corporate Finance – Flotations, Equity Issues and Acquisitions (2nd Ed, Butterworths, 1993) ch 1 p 11.
