释义 | 轉易 1.Traditionally, but rarely used today, a word to describe a vehicle. 2. In a legal sense, the actual transfer of an interest in land and the document by which the transfer occurs. It includes, inter alia, transfers, assigns, delivery orders, gifts, grants, alienation, charges, and incumbrances. In Hong Kong, conveyances are usually effected by an assignment which, inter alia, refers to the transfer of the whole of the interest in land held under a Government lease (formerly Crown lease), legal charges, leases and surrenders: Conveyancing and Property Ordinance (Cap 219) s 2. A conveyance normally incorporates a legal description of the subject property and contains implied and express covenants which are binding on successors in title: ss 35-43. The term is more applicable to a land registry system in which the evidence of title is recorded by the registration of relevant documents. This is to be contrasted by a land titles system in which ‘transfers’ of title are carried out by way of the Australian-founded Torrens system, yet to be implemented in Hong Kong. Here the court may issue certificates as conclusive evidence of title.
