| 释义 | 禁令 1. An order or decree forbidding a specified act or omission. A statutory power conferred on a local authority to prohibit the doing of a particular act may, depending on the statute in question, be a total and unfettered power or it may be qualified such that the act cannot be prohibited absolutely: Australian Posters Pty Ltd v City of Perth (1985) 58 LGRA 57. 2. An order issued by a court to prevent a tribunal or inferior court, which is acting in excess of its jurisdiction, from proceeding any further. It is a prerogative remedy, along with mandamus and certiorari.
