A creditor or a contributory may vote either in person or by proxy vote at meetings called under the Companies Ordinance (Cap 32): Companies (Winding-up) Rules (Cap 32H) r 131. 2. A person with authority to vote at a company general meeting or class meeting in the interest of the person who appoints the proxy. A proxy has the same right as the member to speak at the meeting and, subject to the articles of the company, to vote on a poll: Companies Ordinance (Cap 32) s 114C(1), (1A)(a). Proxy forms must be deposited at the company’s registered office 48 hours before the convening of the meeting.
