1. The violent loss of limbs or other injuries such as those resulting in the loss of sight. 2. Bodily harm making the victim less able to fight or defend himself or herself. 3. Infliction of violent and disfiguring injury or serious damage on human body. 4. To make a document imperfect by removing or severely damaging a part. For instance, in connection with an account, it is an offence for an officer of a company to mutilate or to be privy to the mutilation of a book or paper affecting or relating to the property or affairs of any company or body corporate: Companies Ordinance (Cap 32) s 152D(1).
