| 释义 | 用途的契諾 A covenant by a tenant contained in the lease restricting the use to which the demised premises may be put. A covenant as to user is designed to protect neighbouring occupiers from annoyance, or to confine the use to certain trades or profession, or to require that the house must be used only as a private dwelling house or only for residential or professional purposes, or for the purposes of a named company or organisation, or for ‘industrial or godown purposes: Law Land Co v Consumers’ Assn (1980) 255 EG 617 (CA); Cavendish Property Development Ltd v A-G [1988] HKC 480. Restrictive covenants as to user in the conditions of sale is also included in government leases: Cavendish Property Development Ltd v A-G, supra.
