释义 | 火葬 The burning of a dead human body until it is reduced to ashes. A body may not be disposed of by cremation unless there exists an appropriate document, being either a certificate of registration of death or an certificate of order for burial signed by a coroner: Births and Deaths Registration Ordinance (Cap 174) ss 16, 17. Coroners have the power to order the cremation of a dead body: Coroners Ordinance (Cap 504) s 8. Unauthorised burials and exhumations including the scattering of ashes of any human remains after cremation otherwise than in a cemetery is an offence: Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance (Cap 132) s 118.
