释义 | 往來賬戶 1. A bank account on which the balance standing to a customer’s credit does not normally bear interest and from which a customer can draw cheques. It is also characterised by frequent credits as money is paid in by the customer and frequent debits as money is paid out in accordance with the customer’s order. The credit balance in the current account is repayable on demand. The customer of a current account may be granted an overdraft and permitted to draw cheques up to an agreed limit beyond the amount standing to the credit of his current account. However, if a customer overdraws his current account without the bank’s permission, he may commit an offence of obtaining property by deception: Theft Ordinance (Cap 210) s 17; Halstead v Patel [1971] 1 WLR 661, [1972] 2 All ER 147. 2. The part of the balance of payments account that records non-capital transactions.
