释义	概括損害賠償 Damages for injury, damage or loss estimated to occur after the trial. The court estimates the extent of future damage to be suffered by the plaintiff as a result of the tortious act of the defendant, and will award damages at large accordingly: Ley v Hamilton (1935) 153 LT 384. The obvious type of damage under this head is that of loss of profits. Alternatively, it may be the profit that the plaintiff was prevented from making: Guangdong Foodstuffs Import & Export (Group) Corp & Anor v Tung Fook Chinese Wine (1982) Co Ltd & Ors [2000] 2 HKC 388, 3 HKLRD 12; Techpearl Printing Ltd & Anor v Cheung Ting Chiu [1996] HKLY 652. Such damages are ‘at large’ in that there are few limits on the judge’s discretion to determine the quantum of damages.
