| 释义 | 工料測量師 A person who prepares contractual documents such as the bills of quantities, details measurements and quantities from plans prepared by an architect for the purpose of enabling builders to calculate the amount for which they could execute the plans, and evaluates tenders, applications for progress payments, and final payments (Sutcliffe v Chippendale & Edmondson (A Firm) (1971) 18 BLR 149): Halsbury’s Laws of Hong Kong, Vol 3, Building and Construction [65.230]. Quantity surveyors are employed in most sizeable building contracts as well as for engineering works, but mainly for the larger projects.
