Goods harmful to life or presenting a danger to property because they are: explosive, flammable, or volatile; toxic, poisonous, or corrosive substances; substances which become dangerous by interaction with water or air, substances liable to spontaneous combustion or of a readily combustible nature, radioactive material and to such substances to which it is applied by the Chief Executive in Council under certain regulations: Dangerous Goods Ordinance (Cap 295) s 3. The Chief Executive in Council may by regulation provide for certain requirements in dealing with dangerous goods, for example, declaring the goods to be prohibited, control of and the safety precautions relating to manufacture, possession, landing, shipment, transshipment, storage, movement, sale and use of dangerous goods and so on: s 5. 對人有害或對財產構成危險的物品,因此等物品具爆炸性、易燃或易揮發;有毒、有害或有腐蝕性;與水或空氣相互影響時會變為危險的物質、可自燃或隨時可能燃燒的物質、放射性物料,以及根據若干規例由行政長官會同行政會議規定須適用的物質:《危險品條例》(香港法例第295章)第3條。行政長官會同行政會議可訂立規例,規定處理危險品的若干事項,例如將任何危險品宣布為違禁品;對其製造、管有、卸在陸上、裝運、轉運、貯存、移動、出售及使用作出的管制,以及與上述各項有關而須採取的安全預防措施:第5條。另見 Dangerous thing; Explosive。
