释义	重複保險 1. Insurance against the same risk or peril with two independent insurers. The insured may claim indemnity from either insurer and that insurer may seek contribution from the other. 2. In marine insurance law, where two or more policies are effected by or on behalf of the assured on the same adventure and interest or any part thereof, and the sums insured exceed the permissible indemnity, the assured is said to be over insured by double insurance. Double insurance is void to the extent of the sum in excess of the permissible indemnity: Marine Insurance Ordinance (Cap 329) s 32(1), 32(2)(a). Where the assured is over-insured by double insurance, each insurer is bound to contribute rateably to the loss: s 80(1).
