释义 | 為僱主的最佳利益而行事的職責 The duty of an employee to act in the employer’s interests rather than in the employee’s own interest. An employee who works in his or her spare time for a competitor of the employer may breach the duty: Hivac Ltd v Park Royal Scientific Instruments Ltd [1946] Ch 169 (CA). Where an employee who complies with the letter of the contract of employment, but does so in a way that obstructs the smooth operation of the employer’s business may also be a breach: Secretary of State for Employment v Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen (No 2) [1972] 2 All ER 853, 2 QB 443.
