释义	轉移用途 A legal executory interest, being a legal estate in land coming into existence on the occurrence of a specified future event. A use, not limited by way of remainder, which defeated a previous estate expressly limited by the same conveyance. Shifting use was effectual in freeing the use from the common law rules. This device was made possible by the Statute of Uses. Unlike the springing use, the grantor transfers the estate to a third party for that person to hold until the event occurs, as in a grant ‘to A and his heirs to the use of B and his heirs but when C marries, then to the use of C and his heirs.’ By the first use, the legal fee simple vests in B, and by the second use, it shifts to C when C fulfils the condition.
