| 释义 | 擔證人協讒 A contract under which a person contracts with the actual or possible creditor of another person (the debtor) to be responsible for the debtor’s debt if the debtor fails to pay up. The surety’s liability does not arise until the principal debtor has defaulted and the duration and extent of that liability depends on the terms of the contract.
