| 释义 | 中間承按人 An intermediate mortgagee; a mortgagee who holds a mortgage where the mortgaged property is subject to mortgages ranking higher and sometimes also lower in priority to that held by the mesne mortgagee. At common law a mesne mortgagee has a right to redeem all mortgages ranking ahead of his or her mortgage, and a right to foreclose on all mortgages ranking below his mortgage.
