| 释义 | 助航設備 Visible or audible signals, or any other means which assist in the task of navigation. Magnetic compasses, direction finders, radios, signal transmitters, buoys, beacons, lighthouses, lightships, and landmarks are all navigational aids. Navigational aids, such as compass, radar and echo sounder, shall comply with the performance standards adopted by the International Maritime Organisation (‘IMO’) and installation requirements of the Merchant Shipping (Safety) (Navigational Equipment) Regulations (Cap 369AJ). It is an offence if a ship proceeds or attempts to proceed to sea without the navigational equipment as required and installed in compliance with the regulations: Merchant Shipping (Safety) (Navigational Equipment) Regulations (Cap 369AJ) reg 46(1). These regulations apply to: (a) Hong Kong passenger ships; (b) other Hong Kong ships of 150 tons or more; and (c) other ships of 150 tons or more while they are within the waters of Hong Kong, but do not apply to any pleasure vessel, fishing vessel or any vessel required to be licensed under Part IV of the Shipping and Port Control Ordinance (Cap 313).
