A written statement of a party’s proposed application or claim by motion informing other parties of the cause or nature of the claim or the relief or remedy required: The Rules of the High Court (Cap 4A) O 8 r 3(2). Interlocutory notices of motion may be used, for example, on an application for an interlocutory injunction to a judge: O 29 r 2. Personal service of the notice of motion requires not merely personal service of a copy, but an opportunity to inspect the original: Parker v Burgess (1834) 3 Nev & MKB 36.
