| 释义 | 香港銀行公會的結算所 This clearing facility for cheques was provided by the Hong Kong Association of Banks (‘HKAB’) prior to the introduction of the Real Time Gross Settlement System in December 1996. HKAB entered into an agreement with the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited to be the Management Bank of the Clearing House whereby the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited provided the facilities of a clearing house, inter alia, computer software and staffing. The operations were conducted by means of an account kept by a settlement bank with the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, and settlement bank then cleared its account through its account with the sub-settlement banks. There were 10 settlement banks and 171 sub-settlement banks. 於1996年12月引進即時全額結算系統之前，由香港銀行公會提供的支票結算設施。香港銀行公會與香港上海匯豐銀行有限公司締約，協議作為結算所的經理銀行，香港上海匯豐銀行有限公司則提供結算所的設施，其中包括電腦軟件及人員。該等運作透過在香港上海匯豐銀行有限公司的交收銀行開立的帳戶進行，然後交收銀行透過在次交收銀行開立的帳戶結算該帳戶。已往有10間交收銀行及171次交收銀行。 |
