释义 | 1973年瀕危野生動植物物種國際貿易公約 Abbr – CITES A multilateral agreement aimed at protecting and conserving the wild flora and fauna of contracting states by regulating the export of specimens that are native to their countries and by regulating the export and imports of specimens that are derived from animals or plants which are threatened with extinction: Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora 1973 arts II, III. CITES was signed in Washington on 3 March 1973 and amended in 1979. The Convention is given effect in Hong Kong by the Animals and Plants (Protection of Endangered Species) Ordinance (Cap 187). Contracting parties to CITES must take appropriate measures to implement it and meet bi-annually to consider changes to the listed species: arts VIII, XI. Also known as ‘Chicago Convention’. See also Endangered species. 縮寫 – CITES 一個多邊協定,通過管理製品原產國的出口以及存在滅絕危險的動物或植物製品的出口和進口,達到保護和保持締約國野生動植物的目的:《1973年瀕危野生動植物物種國際貿易公約》第2條,第3條。本公約於1973年3月3日於華盛頓簽署,1979年修訂。公約通過《動植物(瀕危物種保護條例)》(第187章)在香港生效。公約締約國須采取適當方法執行公約,並每兩年召開會議考慮是否對公約物種列表進行修改:第8及11條。本公約另稱《芝加哥公約》。另見 Endangered species。 |
