释义	運費率 The charge made by a carrier for the carriage of goods, expressed as a sum per unit of measure, for example, tonnes, cubic metres, or per container. If no rate of freight is expressly agreed, bill of lading freight for carriage of goods is calculated on the amount delivered according to the weight, quantity or measurement of the cargo, with the ship owner being entitled to a reasonable sum, where there is no provision to the contrary: Bright (Ursula) SS Co v Ripley (1903) 8 Com Case 171 (CA). Also known as ‘freight rate’.
