| 释义 | 審裁處 A body established by the relevant ordinance to adjudicate disputes. Tribunal includes any council, committee, arbitrator, body or person before which a barrister or solicitor may lawfully appear: Legal Officers Ordinance (Cap 87) s 2. An arbitral tribunal means a sole arbitrator or a panel of arbitrators, and includes an umpire: Arbitration Ordinance (Cap 341) s 2. A tribunal’s jurisdictions and powers are conferred to it under the law. Its panel may or may not be presided by a judge. Some tribunals have exclusive jurisdictions over certain disputes. For example, the Small Claims Tribunal consists of such adjudicators and deputy adjudicators appointed under the Small Claims Tribunal Ordinance (Cap 338) and it has the exclusive jurisdiction for claims as stipulated in the Schedule. Examples of other tribunals are: Lands Tribunal (Lands Tribunal Ordinance (Cap 17)), Labour Tribunal (Labour Tribunal Ordinance (Cap 25)), Obscene Articles Tribunal (Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance (Cap 390) ss 6-13) and Immigration Tribunal (Immigration Ordinance (Cap 115) 53F). In administrative law, a body which makes primary decisions or reviews administrative action.
