| 释义 | 兄弟姊妹 A person’s brother or sister; a person who has the same parent as another. In relation to the custody or upbringing of a minor, in any proceedings before any court (whether or not it is the Court of First Instance or the District Court), the desirability for siblings to stay together may affect the court’s decision. There must be cogent reasons before a court will separate siblings: C v C (1981) 11 Fam Law 147/ 125 SJ 844 (CA). However where circumstances justify and the best interest of the children is served by a split order, such order will be made: W v W [1981] 1 HKC 466.
