释义	豁免 1.In relation to education, permission for a child of compulsory school age not to enrol at and attend a government school or registered non-government school or to be educated at home. 2. In relation to a course of study at a higher education institution, the credit given to a student for a subject studied prior to enrolment in a particular course, so that a student is required to undertake fewer subjects to complete that particular course. Provision for the granting of exemptions is made in the regulations governing the particular course. 3. In relation to schools, the exemption of any school and the owners, managers, teachers and pupils of such school from the governance under the Education Ordinance (Cap 279) s 9.
