| 释义 | 配偶簽證 A permanent or temporary visa granted to the spouse of a resident in Hong Kong. Under the immigration policy, foreign spouses may be admitted into Hong Kong for the purpose of family reunion, that is, joining residents in Hong Kong as dependants. In addition, foreigners who are granted visas for investment or employment in Hong Kong may bring in their foreign spouses. In deciding whether to allow a person to enter and remain as a dependant, the Director of Immigration pays regard to the wider considerations of public interest, to be satisfied that the primary or principal purpose is to remain in Hong Kong as a dependant; that is, under the care and financial support of a sponsor, rather than as a back door way of gaining residence in order to work: Gurung Ram Kaji v Director of Immigration (HCAL 110/99, unreported); Durga Maya Gurung v Director of Immigration [2001] HKEC 472.
