释义 | 期貨業 The industry involving the trading of futures. It performs the economic function of avoiding substantial price fluctuations in commodities which are delivered at future dates by transferring price risks to speculators. Futures contracts are acquired and disposed of on a futures market. The risk in changes to the values of the commodities is borne by speculators who buy or sell futures contracts and who aim to profit from correctly anticipating the direction of price changes. The futures industry is regulated by the Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited, and Securities and Futures Commission.
