释义 | 高級法院 A higher court of record or general jurisdiction comprising the higher grades of judges. In Hong Kong, superior courts include the Court of First Instance, the Court of Appeal and the Court of Final Appeal: High Court Ordinance (Cap 4) ss 12(1), 13(1); Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal Ordinance (Cap 484) s 3. A superior court is a court whose jurisdiction is not limited either by person, place or subject matter: Sirros v Moore [1975] 1 QB 118, [1974] 3 All ER 776 (CA). No matter is deemed beyond the jurisdiction of the superior courts unless it is expressly shown to be so: R v Chancellor of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich Diocese, ex p White [1948] 1 KB 195, [1947] 2 All ER 170 (CA).
