| 释义 | 同意締結婚姻 A freely given agreement by a man and a woman to enter into a marriage. All marriages celebrated after 30 June 1972 under the Marriage Ordinance must be voluntary. The lack of valid consent renders the marriage voidable: Matrimonial Causes Ordinance (Cap 179) s 20(2). Marriages celebrated before 1 July 1972 will be void if the consent of either party was obtained by fraud or force: Repealed s 20 (which continues to have effect in relation to marriages which took place before 1 July 1972: Matrimonial Causes (Amendment) (No 2) Ordinance (No 33 of 1972).
