| 释义 | 重犯 The phenomenon of habitual or repeated commission of offences. It may be caused by a variety of factors, both personal and social, and may, depending on the circumstances be effectively dealt with through rehabilitative programs. In sentencing the court is entitled to take into account the protection of the community from the recidivism of the offender: HKSAR v Chan Pui Chi [1999] 3 HKC 848, 2 HKLRD 830.
