释义 | 在運送時 The status of goods or passengers from the time of commencing the carriage until its conclusion. Goods are deemed to be in course of transit from the time when they are delivered to a carrier by land or water, or other bailee for the purpose of transmission to the buyer, until the buyer, or his agent in that behalf, takes delivery of them from such carrier or other bailee: Sale of Goods Ordinance (Cap 26) s 47. After receipt of goods for carriage, any steps taken by the carrier for the purpose of transmission of the goods to the buyer, such as temporarily housing of the goods awaiting loading, will be regarded as an incident of transit, and the goods are in the course of transit: Crows Transport Ltd v Phoenix Assurance Co Ltd [1965] 1 Lloyd’s Rep 139 (CA).
