释义 | 海上罪行 Any act of any person which takes place on board a ship in the Hong Kong waters or on board a Hong Kong ship on the high seas, and which would, were it to take place in Hong Kong, constitute an offence under the law of Hong Kong. A Hong Kong resident who commits any criminal act under the law of Hong Kong, whether on board a Hong Kong ship or not, and in the Hong Kong waters or on the high seas, is guilty of an offence: Crimes Ordinance (Cap 200) s 23B. Examples of maritime crimes are piracy with violence and trading with pirates: ss 19, 21. Crimes which take place on the high seas, such as slaving and piracy are also governed by the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea 1982 (particularly pt VII) which is in force and applicable to Hong Kong.
